Shipping Options

Our cart will pre-select Royal Mail Tracked48 and charge £3.75.

Most parcels arrive within 48 to 72 hours of dispatch but may take up to 10 working days.

We also offer the quicker option of Royal Mail Tracked24 at £4.95.

Orders over £50 qualify for Free Shipping using Tracked48. This is not applied automatically unfortunately (we’re working on it). Use the code at the top of our shop page FREESHIPPING.

Local Delivery

We are trialling a local service delivering parcels of any size for free in DL78 and DL61 postcodes. Add your postcode at checkout WITH NO SPACES to select Local Delivery

If you qualified for free shipping, but missed the option, we’ll add an extra tin that we think suits your choices.

Orders are shipped within 24 hours, Monday to Saturday. Orders placed on Bank Holiday Mondays will ship the next working day.

We ship only within the UK.

If Royal Mail is unreliable in your area, please contact us. We will consider adding alternative couriers if there is sufficient demand.

Our tins are zero-rated for VAT, but VAT is included on postage. Shipping charges are added at checkout.

Delivery Preferences

Smaller parcels are packed to fit through a modern letterbox. Please be aware that requesting a ‘safeplace’ delivery is the responsibility of the customer. Any loss or damage that occurs as a result of this request is not due to neglect on our part. In such situations we are unable to make any claim for the parcel, therefore we are unable to replace affected items. 

We highly recommend downloading the Royal Mail app to manage your Delivery Options, to assign an official ‘SAFEPLACE’, change delivery dates, organise local pickup etc.

Returns Policy

We hope you are happy with our tins. If not to your taste, you may return unopened tins in their original retail packaging for a full refund. Please notify us within 14 days of your intent to return, after which you have an additional 14 days (28 days total) to complete the return. The buyer is responsible for selecting and purchasing a suitable delivery service and remains responsible for the tins until we receive them. Refunds for sellable tins will be processed within 24 hours of receipt. The time for funds to appear depends on your card provider.

Refunds exclude the initial postage fee. If free delivery was applied and returns lower your total below the free delivery threshold, the standard delivery charge will be deducted from your refund.

If an incorrect address is provided and the order is returned to us, we will refund the product cost on receipt but not the shipping charge. Orders delivered free will be refunded minus the standard shipping charge.

Any tins supplied free with our ‘We Got You Friend’ offer cannot be exchanged or refunded.

Packaging

We do our utmost to limit packaging waste. Fishtins.co.uk deliveries are plastic free and entirely recyclable, both packaging and contents. Our delivery packaging is also fully compostable.

Damaged Deliveries 

We have carefully chosen out packaging to ensure your tins arrive in great condition. Should you receive a parcel clearly damaged in transit, please take a few photos on receipt and contact us to discuss how we can fix things for you.
