Berthe - Sardines Fillets in Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Someone in Portugal spent time removing every bone from these sardines so you don't have to. The fillets sit in Portuguese extra virgin olive oil that's taken on some of the fish's character meaning the oil matters as much as what it's preserving.

These sardines have the texture and flavour that comes from Atlantic waters off Portugal's coast. Warm them slightly and the oil loosens, the fish softens, everything becomes more itself. Over toast, through warm potatoes, wherever you'd want sardines but prefer not to navigate bones. Five generations of Ramirez family expertise went into this tin.
