Oregano is an inspired mediterranean addition - clear and slightly bitter, keeping the richness in line. Garlic and sweet paprika finish the tin nicely.

Serve on warm bread so it softens and spreads easily, or add to hot pasta with a spoonful of pasta water - not too much - and let it loosen into the dish.
