Tenorio - Tuna Fillets in Extra Virgin Olive Oil with Capers

£5.25

Capers bring the kind of salty brightness that makes a tin really stand out. Three ingredients having a productive conversation.

These fillets from The Azores have the deep character that benefits from such punctuation. The extra virgin olive oil does what good oil should: carries flavours, adds richness, doesn't make speeches about it. Fork it onto toast with the oil soaking through, or mix through orzo where the capers pop like a small event.

From volcanic island waters where bonito develops flavour robust enough to let the capers shine.

Ingredients: Tuna (65%), extra virgin olive oil (31%), capers (2.5%), salt.

Net Weight: 120g

About Tenorio

In the remote Atlantic archipelago of the Azores, Tenorio tuna fillets carry forward a tradition begun by Francisco Rodriguez Tenório in 1880. His original "Tuna in escabeche" established a standard for quality that continues through Cofaco's premium line today.

What distinguishes these tins is the remarkably clean flavour of bonito tuna, hand-prepared by skilled workers who maintain century-old methods. Each fillet is packed with olive oil and a touch of salt, allowing the fish's natural richness to shine through.

These fillets make brilliant quick meals—spread on crusty bread, tossed through pasta with lemon, or simply enjoyed straight from the tin with a glass of crisp white wine.

This is tinned tuna as it should be—simple, pure and treated with respect from ocean to plate.
